Hydroxycut Sprinkles Review
Hydroxycut Sprinkles claims to be the perfect weight loss aid for people seeking a convenient, easy-to-use product. Their website says that simply adding Hydroxycut Sprinkles to meals will help users lose weight and contribute to “an active, healthy lifestyle.”
These claims definitely drew my attention. Can these sprinkles really bring about weight loss, despite the controversy surrounding the Hydroxycut brand?
About the Hydroxycut Brand
Hydroxycut is one of the leading brands in the weight loss industry. All of its products are developed and manufactured by MuscleTech Research and Development, a sports nutrition company. MuscleTech also develops its own line of supplements designed to give athletes energy and endurance while also building and toning muscle mass.
Both the Hydroxycut and MuscleTech companies are headed up by Iovate Health Sciences Inc. Iovate Health Sciences Inc. has been in business since 1996. According to the Iovate website, “People have relied on [their] brands to deliver the health benefits and results they want with formulas based on key ingredients with sound, scientific support and produced with total commitment to product quality and excellence.”
The Hydroxycut Controversies
Hydroxycut is a notorious brand because its name has been tainted by lawsuits, extremely severe side effects, and false advertising.
In 2003, Hydroxycut was sued for concealing evidence proving their products were not only ineffective but also very dangerous. Users complained of seizures, intense cardiovascular problems, and liver failure. In multiple cases, the liver failure was so serious the victims were forced to undergo liver transplant surgery. Later, in 2007, a 19-year-old Hydroxycut user died due to product-induced liver failure.
The FDA eventually issued a recall of all Hydroxycut products in 2009, warning customers to stop using Hydroxycut immediately. This forced Hydroxycut to revamp all of their formulas, removing the now-banned weight loss ingredient ephedra.
The Hydroxycut Sprinkles Formula
Hydroxycut Sprinkles contain a proprietary blend called Hydroxyprovia. Let’s take a look at the ingredients in this blend:
• Lady’s mantle extract (Alchemilla vulgaris leaf)
• Wild olive extract (Olea europaea leaf)
• Komijn extract (Cuminum cyminum seed)
• Wild mint extract (Mentha longifolia leaf)
I was surprised to learn that this blend has actually been proven to bring about weight reduction. A clinical study conducted in Israel in 2011 tested the blend’s effects on a group of 66 people. The researchers observed that after three months, the obese and overweight participants’ body mass indexes had lowered significantly .
Breaking Down the Hydroxycut Sprinkles Formula
I’m pleasantly surprised to see a clinically-proven combination of ingredients in a Hydroxycut product—especially given the company’s past.
The Hydroxycut Sprinkles formula is definitely not perfect, however. Because it is included in a proprietary blend, the dosages of each individual component aren’t disclosed on the product label. On one hand, this is convenient for the Hydroxycut brand because it prevents other companies from imitating the exact formula. It presents a disadvantage for consumers, however, because now there’s no way to tell exactly how effective Hydroxycut Sprinkles will be.
This bothers me because Hydroxycut should put their customers first.
How to Use Hydroxycut Sprinkles
Sprinkle one packet of Hydroxycut Sprinkles over your food. Use one packet with each meal throughout the day.
Hydroxycut Sprinkles User Testimonials
Unfortunately there are no Hydroxycut Sprinkles customer reviews. This means there is no way to tell exactly how the product will work without actually trying it.
Purchasing Hydroxycut Sprinkles
You can buy Hydroxycut Sprinkles directly from the Hydroxycut website for $24.99. This is a pretty good deal because each package contains 90 packets. Since you need to use three packets per day, this will last you for one month.
Unfortunately, Hydroxycut does not provide any sort of return policy or money-back guarantee for its products. This means even if you experience zero results from Hydroxycut Sprinkles, there is no way for you to get any money back.
When companies neglect to refund money to unsatisfied customers, it worries me. It shows that the company has no faith in their own product.
The Bottom Line
I don’t think you should try Hydroxycut Sprinkles. There isn’t enough information regarding its formula, there are no customer reviews, and it isn’t protected by a money-back guarantee.
You’re better off spending your money elsewhere.
